PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a sealed lead storage battery preventing electric short circuit due to dendrite growth without causing the lowering of the mechanical strength, having superior hydrophilicity, extensibility, and flexibility, and being applicable to a high output battery in the separator for the sealed lead storage battery formed by mixing inorganic powder bodies to a mat type sheet having micro glass fiber as its main component. SOLUTION: This separator for the sealed lead storage battery is mainly composed of the micro glass fiber and formed by including the inorganic powder bodies.
