PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve combustibility of an incineration object, and to reduce an exhaust gas quantity in an incinerator used when incinerating the incineration object such as city garbage and sludge, and particularly combined with a rotary kiln furnace and a stoker furnace. SOLUTION: This incinerator 1 has the rotary kiln furnace 2 for volatilizing and burning the incineration object, the stoker furnace 3 for ashing a combustion residue from these furnaces, a secondary combustion chamber 4 for merging and burning combustion gas from the rotary kiln furnace 2 and the stoker furnace 3, a primary air supply device 5 for supplying primary air A to the rotary kiln furnace 2 and the stoker furnace 3, and a secondary air supply device 6 for supplying secondary air B to the secondary combustion chamber 4, and is provided with a combustion gas circulating device 7 for introducing the combustion gas C on the upper downstream side a of the stoker furnace 3 to the rotary kiln furnace 2.
