<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve design efficiency and to perform packet processing of high quality by realizing access by the same program irrespective of differences between protocol stacks. <P>SOLUTION: A packet storage part 10 stores a packet in a plurality of data registers having fixed register lengths. An address register 20 obtains protocol stack position information showing the start position of a protocol stack from the head of the packet and holds it. An address register table 30 manages field position information representing the position of a field in the protocol stack and a parameter for processing an object field. An arithmetic part 40 performs packet processing for a packet differing in its field position according to differences of the protocol stack or for the object field by performing shaping processing for register alignment according to the protocol stack position information and field position information by the same program without depending upon the differences of the protocol stack. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
