PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chitosan woven fabric which well maintains the potency of chitosan, and to provide a method for easily making chitosan fibers used for making the chitosan woven fabric. SOLUTION: This chitosan woven fabric is obtained by weaving yarns formed from wool-like chitosan fibers alone or weaving the mixture of the yarns with yarns formed from other fibers. The chitosan woven fabric is obtained by weaving yarns which are formed by blending the wool-like chitosan fibers with other wool-like fibers. And, the method for making the chitosan fibers comprises breaking continuous linear bodies formed by extruding a chitosan solution into a solidifying solution with ultrasonic wave vibrations in the solidifying solution.
