PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a speaker output device with which a user can listen to sounds of a device having an audio function such as a television and the sounds of an external device such as an audio device with a common audio speaker by simple switching. SOLUTION: This speaker output device has a switching device 13 for switching a sound signal from the sound main amplifier 11 of the television 9 and a speaker output signal from an external audio amplifier 7 inputted through a speaker input terminal 12, selects the sound signal from the sound main amplifier 11 of the television 9 when the power 10 of the television 9 is turned on and the speaker output signal from the external audio amplifier 7 when the power 10 of the television 9 is turned off and outputs the selected signal to the common audio speaker 15.
