PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection device and a communication system capable of preventing an adverse effect such as a malfunction on the other devices connected to a communication network due to the influence of a connected device and preventing an illegal operation such as destruction and falsification of data, when a carry-on device from the outside is connected to the communication network such as an in-vehicle LAN (local area network) provided in a moving body such as a vehicle. SOLUTION: A connection device 10 having a gateway function is connected to a first communication network NW1 provided in the moving body to connect a first device 1 provided in the moving body such as a vehicle, and the device carried on from the outside is connected to the device 10 as a second device 2 connected to a second communication network 2 to convert communication conditions of various information transmitted/received between the devices 1 and 2.
