PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross connect switch and a route monitoring/supporting apparatus which can attain a group of high orders of cross connect inexpensively and reliably without being blocked by the upper limit speed of a device. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a plurality of write ports in which a plurality of channels of data each subjected to time division multiplexing are inputted, a multi-port memory means 11 having a plurality of randomly accessible read ports, a holding memory means 12 for storing addresses individually given to the plurality of read ports, and a control means 13 for providing write addresses sequentially to write ports to write data on a plural-channel basis and providing the addresses stored in the holding memory means 12 to the plurality of read ports respectively.
