PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input buffer in which tDQSS window can be improved. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a conversion circuit converting series data of a second group including a plurality of data to parallel data of a second group responding to a data strobe signal after series data of a first group including a plurality of data is converted to parallel data of a first group responding to a data strobe signal, a first transmission circuit transmitting each of parallel data of the first group to each corresponding output terminal responding to a first write signal, a second transmission circuit transmitting each of parallel data of the second group to each corresponding output terminal responding to a second write signal, and the first write signal and the second write signal are activated alternately with the prescribed time difference. These data input method and data input buffer have effect for improving tDQSS window, also, have effect that write operation can be performed smoothly within a range from the minimum tDQSS to the maximum tDQSS.
