<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardening method for suppressing deformation caused by heat treatment even for a work pressed to have a bottom wall and a sidewall. <P>SOLUTION: A work 10 is placed on a support base 30, and an induction heating coil 40 is disposed facing the outer circumferential surface of the work 10. A spraying part 52 of a cooling jacket 50 is disposed facing the inner circumferential surface of the work 10. The induction heating coil 40 and the cooling jacket 50 are thus disposed, the support base 30 is turned in the direction of an arrow B, and a sidewall 14 is heated by supplying high frequency power to the induction heating coil 40 while turning the work 10 in the direction of the arrow B. After the teeth 14a of the sidewall 14 are heated thereby to the hardening temperature, the inner surface of the sidewall 14 is cooled by spraying a cooling solution from the cooling jacket 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
