<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device which can be used without being affected by the kind of equipment interface to be connected. <P>SOLUTION: An optical module 202 has an exchangeable constitution and executes optical to electrical transduction to data input from a terminal 10. A CDR circuit 203 has a function which regenerates the data and a clock from the optical module 202 with a timing corresponding to a set rate. A device information deciding circuit 201 reads kind information of the optical module 202 from a register existing in the optical module 202, decides device information of the optical module 202, identifies an interface rate, extracts the clock from the data, executes waveform shaping, and executes the rate setting of the CDR circuit 203. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
