PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify the validity in a certain past point of a certificate after invalidation or expired certificate while effectively using a resource such as database in the management of an electronic certificate such as public key certificate or attribute certificate.

SOLUTION: This electronic certificate management device comprises a certificate information holding part 1 for holding one or more pieces of certificate information 5 including at least the certificate data of electronic certificates; a certificate delete condition holding part 2 for holding a certificate delete condition 6 showing the condition related to the momentum of deleting certificate information from the certificate information holding part 1; a certificate-to-be-deleted selection part 3 for selecting certificate information matched to the certificate delete condition 6 stored in the certificate delete condition holding part 2 from the certificate information holding part 1; and a certificate information delete part 4 for deleting the corresponding certificate information 5 from the certificate information holding part 1 according to the selection result by the selection part 3.
