PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver or the like to recognize the number of engine revolutions or the amount of accelerator pedal depression by means of the reproduction of the number of engine revolutions or the amount of pedal depres sion by a sound and/or video reproducing device that is optionally equipped by detecting the number of engine revolutions without depending upon the control system of a computer or the like that has been already equipped on the vehicle, e.g. an automobile. SOLUTION: An onboard reproducing device has at least reproducing parts 7, 9, 10 and 11 for reproducing an audio signal and/or a video signal, a circuit for detecting the number of revolutions 19 for detecting the number of engine revolutions 17, and control systems 1, 2, and 3 for controlling at least the reproducing parts 7, 9, 10 and 11. The control systems 1, 2 and 3 modulate video to be reproduced by processing sound and/or video signals to be reproduced by processing the audio signal by using the reproducing parts 7, 9, 10 and 11 on the basis of an output of the circuit for detecting the number of revolutions 19.
