PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of preventing an insulation failure from occurring by avoiding connecting wires to interfere with each other at their cross points. SOLUTION: The rotor 10 of the rotary electric machine comprises a core having a plurality of slots U, V and W (U1 to 3, V1 3 and W1 to 3). The slots of the core are wound around with a winding via an insulating body. Connecting wire guide grooves 21 (21a to 21i) are formed in an insulating cover 17 of the axial end face of the insulating body so that the winding 18 wound around to the prescribed slot among the plurality of slots U, V and W is linearly led to the other slots.
