PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing device for door knobs which is applied on arbitrary doors of a toilet, a cooking space, etc., to sterilize bacteria sticking to the surface of the door knob. SOLUTION: The sterilizing system is constituted of a baseboard having a fitting means to an arbitrary door at the rear face and having an aperture through which an arbitrary door knob can be passed, a sterilizing lamp fitted on the baseboard and radiating radiation light to the arbitrary door knob direction in the fitted condition, a reflecting means for reflecting radiation of the sterilizing lamp in the arbitrary door knob direction, a shielding means preventing the reflected light by the reflecting means from reaching user's eyes, an power source for supplying power to the sterilizing lamp, a radiation control means controlling radiation of the sterilizing lamp.
