PUBLIC KEY BASE REGISTRATION BUREAU, ITS CONSTRUCTION METHOD AND ITS PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM HAVING RECORDED THE PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which can reduce the introduction cost and the running cost by enabling a plurality of registration bureaus to be built on one general purpose computer and enables the user of a certificate to apply for issuance or expiration of a certificate by a simply determined method when the user applies for issuance or expiration of a certificate the certificate.

SOLUTION: This registration bureau constitutes an authentication bureau together with a plurality of issuance bureaus which issue public key base certificates according to the reguests from the users, and it is constituted of one computer which is provided with a plurality of RA cells which preserve the information about the plural issue bureaus and the information required for issuance and expiration of certificates, a data base which stores user information different for every user, and an RA core which communicates with the above plural issue bureaus, referring to the information unique to issue bureaus preserved in the above RA cell and the information unique to users stored in the above data base.
