PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain size and cost reductions for a control device, and improve control performance by preventing a reduction in torque due to re-adhesion control, thus obtaining a predetermined acceleration performance. SOLUTION: This control device comprises a vehicle control means 1 of determining the running condition of a vehicle; a plurality of converter control means 2a, 2b of controlling power converters 6a, 6b in accordance with a command from the control means 1; and a serial communication means (a communication network) 10 of connecting these means 1, and 2a, 2b. If abnormality such as idling occurs in a vehicle running motor driven by the converter control means, the abnormality information is transmitted from the converter control means to the vehicle control means via the communication network. Based on the received information, the vehicle control means transmits command data which determined a newly running condition to a plurality of other converter control means including the converter control means via the communication network.
