INVERTER TRANSFORMER AND DISCHARGE TUBE LIGHTING CIRCUIT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter transformer where a difference between the output currents of the two secondary windings is made smaller although the two discharge tubes of different impedances are lighted by using one inverter transformer when there are variations of impedances in the discharge tubes.

SOLUTION: Two secondary windings 27 are disposed opposite to a primary winding 26 in the same magnetic coupling as in the primary winding 26. A closed magnetic circuit core 28 is formed by matching a first magnetic core 31 with a flattened second magnetic core 32. In the first magnetic core 31, a first magnetic leg 29 is inserted into a through hole 21 of a first bobbin 23, and two second magnetic legs 30 are inserted into a through hole 21 of a second bobbin 24 to be connected with a connection leg 48. The second magnetic core 32 forms a high magnetic reluctance section 33 of large magnetic reluctance, and a low magnetic reluctance section 34 of smaller magnetic reluctance than that of the high magnetic reluctance section 33 on both sides of the reluctance section 33. A high magnetic reluctance section 33 is disposed between the central section of the first magnetic core 31 and the two second magnetic legs 30.
