PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a period display which can distinctly and uniformly indicate different symbol displays, etc., at both points of the time in an initial period of use or during an effective period and the end of use. SOLUTION: The period display is formed by incorporating a volatilizable liquid into a display substrate consisting of a substrate material which has liquid permeability, a second display element which is laminated on the surface of the substrate material and consists of a formation material and exhibits a low refractive index to light in incorporating the material into the liquid and a first display which is at least partly laminated on the second display element and consists of a formation material having liquid permeability and containing lustrous pigments.
