METHOD OF POLYMERIZATION FOR PHOTOPOLYMERIZABLE COATED RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photopolymerizable coated resin composition imparting a hardened film with improved hydrophilicity for same composition by modifying a photo hardening condition. SOLUTION: The method forms a film on the surface of a base by coating the photopolymerizable coated resin composition that contains a vinyl monomer having a hydrophilic group, on the surface of the base and carrying out a photopolymerization in an atmosphere with 80 to 100% of relative humidity. The concentration of the hydrophilic groups on the surface of the film coated on the surface of the base increases by exposing the film of the photopolymerizable coated resin composition to the atmosphere with high humidity because the hydrophilic groups (the hydrophilic vinyl monomer and the hydrophilic group of colloidal silica) align to the direction of water. The hydrophilicity of the hardened film increases (reduction of contact angle with water) by irradiating the film in the state with an active energy ray and carrying out the photopolymerization to harden the film.
