PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a profile information acquiring program which easily traces the processing of each software program and a profile information acquiring device, realized by the program, for a software system which is structured with a plurality of software program groups. SOLUTION: A storage area where pieces of profile information are recorded is named a profile information storage area, and profile information is connected directly or indirectly to the profile information recorded in the profile information storage area in the order wherein processes of software programs generating the profile information and recorded in the profile information storage area.
