Described is a compound of formula I, where: W is O or S; X is -S(=O)m-, or -NR3-; Y is -O-, -NH-, -CH2-, or -S(=O)m-; R1 is optionally substituted C1-4alkyl; R2 is H, C1-6alkyl that is optionally substituted with 1-3 halo, cyclopropyl, -OC1-4alkyl, -NH2, -NHC1-6alkyl, or -N(C1- 6alkyl)2; n is 0 or 1 with the proviso that where n is 0, Y is -CH2-. Also described is a pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of formula I as defined above. The compound of formula I is useful for treating microbial infections.
