PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a collimator while maintaining gamma ray stopping power to a needed extent.
SOLUTION: This collimator 9 is disposed on the gamma ray entry side of a detector for detecting gamma rays emitted from a radioactive isotope in a medicament given to and taken into a subject, and a plurality of parallel holes 12 are formed at prescribed intervals so as to sandwich partitions 10, as inner walls, between them. The partitions 10 each comprise an entrance surface side end part 10a entered by gamma rays, an exit surface side end part 10b from which the gamma rays exit, and a body part 10c for connecting the two end parts 10a and 10b with each other. The partitions are shaped different from each other in order that at least one of the end parts 10a and 10b is larger than the body part 10c in wall thickness.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
