<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas assist type fuel injection device as an improvement of the conventional one requiring a separate provision of a gas pump for preparing an assist gas and also as an improvement of a conventional gas assist type fuel injection valve involving such a problem that a large bore piping is required for suppressing the gas flowing resistance, which results in a drop of the assist gas pressure in the injection valve at the middle and later stage of fuel injection making it difficult to atomize the fuel in good condition. <P>SOLUTION: The gas assist type fuel injection device is equipped with a through hole 11 provided in the side wall of a cylinder casing 1, a check valve 9 installed in the through hole 11, and a common rail 12 to couple the check valve 9 with the fuel injection valve 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
