<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily avoid a communication failure such as a transmission line failure due to rainfall attenuation, snowfall and obstructions in a radio access system in a subscriber system using microwaves and quasi-millimeter waves. <P>SOLUTION: In the radio access system using a communication channel connected in a ring shape among radio stations, when the communication failure is occurred between a radio station B and a radio station C, transmitters 2b2, 2a2 to become relay stations are placed at a position of a radio station F which is not adjacent to the radio stations B, C.
