PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply transmit image data from a facsimile to a personal computer, etc. SOLUTION: Cross media servers 13 respectively have facsimile receivers 21 each corresponding to a unique terminating number. A destination address search part 25 searches a customer/destination table 26 based on the terminating number and the originator number from the facsimile, and specifies one or more electronic mail addresses as the destination. An electronic mail generator 23 creates image data based on signals received by the facsimile receiving part 21, and makes the image data as an attached file for the electronic mail.
