PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication capable of efficiently controlling a plurality of transactions without enlarging its circuit scale. SOLUTION: The communication method is for communicating with transactions composed of transmitting request packets and receiving corresponding response packets. For transmitting a first request packet (S102), a first counter is set (S101). If a second request packet to be transmitted exists (S104), the second request packet is transmitted (S102), irrespective of whether a response packet corresponding to the first request is already received or not. A second counter is set (S101), the first and the second counters are controlled at a specified period (S118). If the values of the first and the second counters are determined to exceed a specified value, a communication corresponding to these counters is decided to fail (S111, S115). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
