PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple kimono without spoiling inherent appearance of the kimono by simplifying a wearing procedure of the kimono. SOLUTION: The simple kimono for women is divided into an upper wear 1 and a lower wear 2. The upper wear 1 has a length in height from the peak line 4 of shoulders to a separated lower hem 5 hidden with an obi (a belt used for wearing a kimono). A combination width is reduce toward the separated lower hem 5 to require no adjustment. An uwamae 6 (the visible front part of a clothed kimono) is sowed with a shitamae 7 (one half of the front of the kimono lapped under the other) around the crossing of collars 8 and in the range of tying the belt. An upper wear-engaging means 16 for opening and closing a combination hem 15 is provided to the combination hem 15 of a front body 13 with a back body 14 ranging from the separated lower hem 5 on the side part to a side slit 12 (open part of sleeve under arm). The lower wear 2 has a length in height from a separated upper hem 20 hidden behind the obi to the bottom 21. A combination width is reduced toward the separated upper hem 20. An uwamae 23 is sewed with a shitamae 24 in the range from the separated upper hem 20 to 1/6-1/3 length in height. A lower wear-engaging means 27 for opening and closing a combination hem is installed to the combination hem of a front body 25 with a back body 26 ranging from the separated upper hem 20 on the side part to the sewed range.
