PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment method of a fin tube for preventing deformation of fins under heat treatment, and efficiently performing the heat treatment without generating any oxide scale. SOLUTION: In the heat treatment method of an outer fin tube for a heat exchanger for performing the heat treatment of the fin tube in a continuous bright heat treatment furnace having a heating zone and a cooling zone, the fin tube is placed on a belt conveyor, and subjected to the heat treatment while successively transferring the fin tube from the heating zone to the cooling zone.
