Segmented insect control mat

An insect control mat comprising a mat body having a thickness, the mat body having indentations that define break lines such that a user of the mat body can readily separate the mat body along the break lines into subsections. Also described is a method of controlling insects by use of an insect mat heater comprising the steps of: i) Providing the above-defined insect control mat. ii) Separating a first one of the subsections from the remainder of the mat body, and, at a first time, heating it in the insect mat heater. iii) Separating a subsequent section from the remainder of the mat body and heating it in the insect mat heater at a time subsequent to said first time. iv) Repeating the step of separating and heating subsequent subsections of the mat body until all subsections have been heated. Also described is a method of controlling insects by use of insect mat heaters comprising the steps of: i) Providing the above-defined insect control mat. ii) Separating a first one of the subsections from the remainder of the mat body and heating it in a first insect mat heater. iii) Separating a subsequent subsection from the remainder of the mat body and heating it in a second insect mat heater.
