PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time series image data storage apparatus for effectively utilizing data storage resources to store a time series image from an image input unit to a storage medium and capable of a three-dimensional shape of an external field and analyzing a time series motion of the image input unit. SOLUTION: An optical unit 1 acquires a multi-view-point time series image, an image data generating section 2 generates digital image data of the image, temporarily stores the data to an internal memory 5, and a data storage section 8 stores the data. Units 6, 7 acquire mobile position information or distance information of the optical unit, a distance discrimination section 11 aborts the acquired image data and the position or distance information depending on the scale of the distance or transfers the acquired image data and the position or distance information to a stored data unit as image data.
