PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an externally attaching type information storage device in which sealability of a case is improved largely. SOLUTION: In this information storage device, a case housing a hard disk driving mechanism section 30 is constituted of an upper half part 10 and a lower half part 90, and the sealability between the case and a connector periphery is held by a gasket 20 in which a lip is formed and a packing. Further, in this information storage device, the gasket 20 is prevented from deviating inside the case by forming a protection wall, and the sealability is improved largely in the whole case by controlling the thickness of the gasket 20 by a stopper.
