PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, a system, a method, and a program for information gathering which enable an information gatherer to concentrate necessary area information at one place on a network and easily obtain the invariably latest information, and a computer-readable recording medium with the information gathering program stored. SOLUTION: In an environment of Internet radio connection in a public space, contents having their roots deep in the area are distributed to an information gathering device of the information gatherer by Bluetooth, a radio LAN, etc., as short-distance radio standards. The information gatherer present in an area of a specified hot spot refers to the contents automatically distributed to the information gathering device that the gatherer carries and can select information as the gatherer intends.
