PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extremely easily and quickly measuring at a work site, the concentration of a detergent in a cleaning solution composed of the detergent including a surface active agent and an organic solvent particularly, in a dry cleaning field. SOLUTION: In the presence of an ion associate adsorbent, the detergent concentration in the cleaning solution is determined by a color tone of an acquired solution by eluting an adsorbed ion associate by a solvent after adsorbing the ion associate in the solution to an adsorbent by contacting (1) the cleaning solution composed of the detergent including a cationic surface active agent and the organic solvent with an aqueous solution including an ionic coloring matter and an anionic surface active agent, or (2) the cleaning solution composed of the detergent including the anionic surface active agent and the organic solvent with an aqueous solution including the ionic coloring matter and the cationic surface active agent.
