PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing with a built-in pulse forming ring, and a hub unit bearing for improving rotational speed detecting accuracy while preventing the infiltration and sticking of a foreign matter to the pulse forming ring. SOLUTION: The pulse forming ring 91 formed of mixing synthetic rubber and a ferrite on the outside end face of a sensor rotor 87 is fixed to a slinger 73 by a method such as baking. A small diameter step 93 is formed on the outer periphery of a vehicle center side end on an outer ring 3, and a cover 95 of a press mold formed of SUS 304 or the like being a nonmagnetic substance as a raw material is fitted around the small diameter step 93. The shape and dimension of an annular ring 99 of the cover 95 are set so as to secure a microscopic clearanceδbetween the pulse forming ring 91 and a second inner ring 23 in a noncontact range even if there is elastic deformation caused by the rotation of a double-row angular ball bearing 5.
