<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording apparatus and an information recording method capable of recording data in a state of consecutively reproduc ing parts before and after an erased part when erasing the part of a video image through edit. <P>SOLUTION: The information recording apparatus is provided with: an information reproducing section 2 for reading data recorded on a recording and reproducing medium 1; a decoder 4 for decoding the data recorded on the recording and reproducing medium 1 on the basis of a signal from the information reproducing section 2; a digital video compression unit 7 for encoding the signal decoded by the decoder 4; and an information recording section 9 for recoding the data encoded by the digital video compression unit 7 onto a recording and reproducing medium 11. The decoder 4 consecutively decodes the data recorded on the recording and reproducing medium 1 together with the part erased by the edit and the digital video compression unit 7 is controlled to interrupt the encoding of the signal in matching with the part erased by the edit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
