PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel constituted so that the performance of an oscillatory wave motor can be confirmed all around. SOLUTION: By attaching a driving part 11 equipped with an ultrasonic motor 6 capable of driving all around and further equipped with an FPC 24 and a magnetic head 25, a detection ring 30 having a brush backing plate 32, a brush 33 and a magnetic tape 34 on an encoder ring 31, and a rotation limiter 41 to the lens barrel as separate units, the performance of the motor 6 is confirmed all around and the reliability of the lens barrel is improved.
