PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device system capable of realizing a small-scaled base isolation building having a high capacity, at low cost. SOLUTION: The weight of a building is supported by both rolling supports 52 and a sliding support 62. Support weight ratio of those supports is adjusted so that the sliding resistant force is a suitable figure as a yield strength of the entire device. A tabular rubber plate 8 is fitted in between the upper and the lower structures 3, 2, within 30°in the inclination angle to the horizontal plane as a device sharing the restoring force of a base isolation layer. Further, the system can easily ensure a large deformation capacity as much as 80 cm or more against a lightweight structure and a linear restoring characteristic can be realized in the whole region.
