PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pier which eliminates squeaks even if a sleeper is deformed according to the lapse of time, facilitates adjustment of its displacement due to differential settlement of a building, and maintains the load-carrying capacity of the building to a high level, and to provide a sleeper bearing structure using the steel pier. SOLUTION: The sleeper bearing structure consists of a base plate 1, a column portion 2, and a bearing fixture 3. The column portion is formed of first and second cylinder portions 4, 5, and a male screw body 6. The first and second cylinder portions 4, 5 have female screw portions 4a, 5a formed in their inner surfaces, respectively, and winding directions of the female screw portions are different from each other. The male screw body 6 connects the first and second cylinder portions 4, 5 together, and has first and second male screw portions 6a, 6b formed thereon corresponding to the female screw portions. The male screw body 6 also has a handle portion 6c at the center thereof. The bearing fixture 3 has right and left side plate portions 3b, 3b erected from a horizontal portion thereof, and a buffer material 14 laid on the same.
