PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective device for preventing damage by corrosion of an expensive X-ray tube even if a highly corrosive sample drops on the X-ray tube in an under surface irradiating fluorescent X-ray analyzer. SOLUTION: A protective cover 4 having an X-ray transmissive protective film 5 composed of beryllium, boron nitride or graphite is arranged in the X-ray tube 1 used for the under surface irradiating fluorescent X-ray analyzer so as to cover an X-ray transmissive window. The X-ray transmissive protective film is provided in a tube filter attached to the under surface irradiating fluorescent X-ray analyzer, and this film can be used by being movably arranged on the X-ray tube.
