PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power loss in preventing the slip-out of a rotary shaft of a bearing device, and to facilitate the manufacturing of a slip-out preventive mechanism of the rotary shaft. SOLUTION: This bearing device is a bearing device having the mutually relatively rotatably arranged rotary shaft 2 and a bearing member 3. The bearing member 3 has a thrust dynamic pressure receiving surface for generating thrust dynamic pressure having at least a shaft directional pressure component of the rotary shaft when a clearance becomes smaller than a prescribed value by liquid filled in the clearance formed between the bearing member 3 and the rotary shaft 2. The power loss is reduced by dispensing with force for preventing the slip-out of the rotary shaft in an ordinary rotational state by energizing the rotary shaft in the direction for returning to an original state only when the rotary shaft tries to slip out. The manufacturing is facilitated by forming a constitution requiring no manufacturing accuracy in the constitution for preventing the slip-out of the rotary shaft. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
