Also described is a terminator having terminator activity comprising a nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:2, a nucleotide sequence having 70% homology to SEQ ID NO:2, a modified nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:2 and a nucleotide sequence that hybridizes with the sequence do SEQ ID NO:2. The promoter and terminator can function in a filamentous fungus that belongs to Agonomycetes. Expression vectors can comprise the promoter, the terminator or both. A host, preferably Mycelia sterilia can be transformed with the expression vectors.
