An image display and capture system has optical sensors (11, 21) embedded behind variable focus converging lenses (21, 22) in a truncated conical housing behind small holes (1, 2) in a planar display (10) and processing circuit controlling the lenses and coding an image from corresponding parts of the received images with autofocus by distance estimation from image displacement.
