<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery with reduced voltage drop due to the electric resistance of a collector, capable of being made thinner than a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode 2 is formed by filling a positive electrode active material (shown in a figure as a filled portion) only in a space encircled by the lattice of the collector 21. A negative electrode is formed similarly to the positive electrode 2. A polymer battery with the electrodes formed in this way has a smaller quantity of current (current density) flowing in the collector per unit area than a conventional polymer battery, therefore reducing its voltage drop due to the electric resistance of the collector. Because the positive and negative electrodes are filled only in the space (an opening portion) encircled by the lattice of the collector, the positive and negative electrodes can be made thinner than conventional ones. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
