PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate fitted with an electrode for a planar display which can reduce resistance of wiring while maintaining high numerical aperture and by which flatness having no influence onto an insulating layer formed on the wiring can be obtained and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The wiring 4 is formed on a substrate 1-a in advance, is transferred to a resin substrate 5 having heat resistance, high light transmissivity and thermoplasticity by heating and pressing and then the substrate 1-a is removed to obtain the substrate in which the wiring 4 is buried in the resin substrate 5 and which has a plain surface. Since the obtained substrate has the plain surface, there is no thickness dispersion and pinhole appearance in a layer formed thereon. Thus excellent substrate fitted with the electrode for the planar display is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
