PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston ring having a high preventive effect on aluminum agglutination and excellent in the durability. SOLUTION: The piston ring for an internal-combustion engine is structured so that at least one of its side faces is provided with a resin coating film formed by dispersing in a heat resistant resin a fluoro-resin in an amount 30-75 wt.% of the whole solid component of the resin coating film.
