PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow application of the configuration of a power factor improvement circuit for interrupting a rectified current with a feedback output from a tertiary winding, thus achieving power factor improvement, to a power supply circuit provided with a voltage doubling rectifying circuit. SOLUTION: When a resonance-type converter is provided on the primary side as a power supply circuit for obtaining a DC input current by a voltage doubling rectifying circuit., and a resonance circuit is provided on the secondary side, a basic configuration as a composite resonance type converter is adopted. In addition to that, as a configuration for improvement in power factor, the tertiary winding to which an intermediate tap output has been provided is wound with respect to the insulating converter transformer and divided into halves. Alternating voltage as a switching output (voltage resonance pulse), excited to these halved tertiary windings, is designed to produce feedback output to positive/negative rectified current paths of the voltage doubling rectifying circuit system, into which circuit components are inserted for improvement in power factor, respectively, Rectifier diode elements within the voltage doubling rectifying circuit. performs switching by alternating voltages as feedback voltages, thereby achieving the improvement in power factor.
