PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless lamp and a bulb for the electrodeless lamp easily lighted again after lights-out and shortening a re-lighting time. SOLUTION: This bulb 40 for the electrodeless lamp comprises an envelope transmitting the light, a filling material filling inside the envelope and discharging the light by excited by a high-frequency energy, and buffer gas included therein. The buffer gas of this bulb 40 includes first buffer gas and second buffer gas having a partial pressure of 1% or less of the partial pressure of the first buffer gas for lowering the discharge voltage and shortening the lighting time.
