DVDP/VCR COMBINATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING COPY MALFUNCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A DVDP/VCR combination system and a method for preventing copy malfunction thereof are provided to prevent the unnecessary copy operation when copying contents recorded to a DVDP having copy-preventing signals to a magnetic tape and increase the reliability of the combination system. CONSTITUTION: A DVDP/VCR combination system includes a VCR part(110) for carrying out general VCR functions, and a DVDP part(120) for carrying out DVDP functions. A selecting part(130) selects signals output from the VCR part and the DVDP part. An input part(140) provides signals input from an external device such as a camcorder to the selecting part. An output part(150) provides signals output from the VCR part and the DVDP part to environmental devices such as a television or amps. An OSD block(160) adds the OSD function to image signals output from the VCR part and the DVDP part.
