<p>A system and method for the disposal of refuse from refuse bins (12) in a public dining area (127) of a restaurant to a dumpster (17) located outside the restaurant. The system includes a refuse container (13), the use of which is restricted to transferring refuse-filled bags (16) from refuse bins (12) to a staging area (26) located toward a rear of the restaurant. The volume of the refuse-filled bag (16) is reduced by a compaction device (14) and a shuttle (15) is used to transfer the deflated refuse to the dumpster (17).</p> |
