The invention relates to a sealing device meant for sealing two plane surfaces, such as, for example, the surfaces of some flanges. According to the invention, the sealing device is provided with some clamping brackets (4 and 5) whereon there are articulated some screws (8 and 9), which are secured by means of some nuts (10 and 11), some clamping semi-rings (12, 13, 14 and 15) being introduced between the flanges (1 and 2) and the clamping brackets (4 and 5), said clamping brackets (4 and 5) being provided with some truncated cone-shaped surfaces (c, d, e and f), and the clamping semi-rings (12, 13, 14 and 15) are provided with some truncated cone-shaped surfaces (g, h, i and j), which have the same inclination with the truncated cone-shaped surfaces (c, d, e and f) of the brackets (4 and 5).
